Why does bad things happen to good people?

When one's mind is made up, fear diminishes. She was never prepared for a quarter of what she went through, but she got thorough it. After losing her husband, she wondered how she could survive with her pregnancy and cater for all their nine other children. After giving birth, her prayer was "God , since my husband is dead , I know this beautiful son of mine can't grow. Just kindly help me and he makes at least one year. Please don't take him now , I beg you. Save me and take him after one year at least, I pray." This lady is my mother. All that, she was praying for our last born. Today ,the person she begged God to take at least when he was a year old, is 19years old studying PEM/ICT in senior six.  Its hard to learn from others, but it's harder to be the example. In this world, we can get whatever we need if we struggle for them, but to get those which will give us happiness, we must put our lives in God's hands. Having a spiritual relationship with God doesn't mean life will always be okay, but means keeping the faith after passing through the worst in life. My mother lost her husband, who was everything to her and after this , her baby (our last born) became her main source of joy yet she was worried of losing him too because she couldn't manage to cater for his needs. To her surprise , the baby was the healthiest of all her children. All this created the foundation of our family. When God is changing your life, sometimes He first disorganize it and gives you the worst first, if you keep the faith, He then gives you the courage to handle that worst until He turns it into the best. For Jesus to sit on the right hand of God, the father, he had to first suffer up to death and then God made him the king of all kings. Don't worry when the worst comes, have trust and faith that it will soon disappear and things will go back to normal. Everything is always working out for you. When all my friends in our primary school were talking of their fathers , I remember I could find a silent place and cry. I kept asking myself , "if God cares about me , then why did He allow murderers take my Father's life?" I grew up with this question, not until one day in a discussion with a priest at St Peter Catholic Church-Nsambya,  realised that God allowed Israelites to suffer just for Him to use their lives' journey as a guide for the rest of the world. Immediately after figuring this out, a sense of restness filled my heart. I got all the answers to the questions I had fought with all my life. Brothers and sisters , everything is always working out for you. If you can't believe it, atleast trust it. Thank you God for everything that has ever happened in my life.
