If you knew, you wouldn't judge.

If all people threw their problems in a basket, we would realize how lucky we are. "She whipped me so badly that I had welts on my back and the welts could bleed and so then I got another whipping for getting blood on my clothes! We were so poor that often many times I could wear clothes made up of potato sacks" - Oprah Winfrey's childhood experience. One of my friends invited me for a burial of his father, it was a painful moment for him but , speaking the truth, neither did I get hurt nor sympathetic but instead wished if it was me! I just imagined how lucky he was that his father died when he had even completed university studies. If God gave me that chance! I imagined that even if my father resurrects today , I can't recognize his face!  I was too young to remember him. What is the lesson in this? Don't judge anyone in this world unless you know their lives. Some of us battles stress, frustrations, anxiety and depression every day. We search for happiness in al...

It's not about them. Its about you

If you judge people, you have no time to love them. Help people not because of who they are or what they do in return , but because of who you are. Real integrity is doing the right thing knowing that nobody is going to know whether you did or not. The greatest discovery of all time is that a person can change his future by merely changing his attitude. Some people hurt us sometimes not willingly, sometimes ignorantly. Its our duty to understand their situation and don't hurt them back. Some people walk around just looking defeated, they have lost hope ,they don't bather even trying it out. They made mistakes before and have all given up. They keep telling you it can't be done, its impossible , don't even try it . But its them not you. Their failures shouldn't be yours. Most of us don't discover who we are on time. We simply try to fit into whatever is available and when such isn't available anymore, we look for whatever is available! That's the number o...

Life isn't fair, but its still good

"I went to KFC. 24 people went for the job, 23 were accepted, I was the only one rejected. And we went for police, five people full of them accepted, I was the only one rejected. I applied for Harvard ten times rejected" said by Jack ma, richest man in China. When you've exhausted all possibilities, remember this , you haven't . No matter how bad it is , it could always be worse. Be glad its not. Put your problems in proper perspective. The reason why we don't become who we want to be is because we do attach to who we've been. Haven't you ever hard people saying " but i have always been like this!" Most of us want the convenience of transformation without the inconvenience required for the transformation. Let go of the past so that you can create a better future. It doesn't mean what happened was right, it means your future happiness is more important than holding on to something you can't change. If you want to achieve something differen...

Does God base on what you do to love you?

God loves you because of who God is, not because of anything you did or didn't do. I believe in God as I believe that that the sun has risen; not only because I see it , but because by it I see everything else. Knowing that God is there for me , that He knows and loves me personally. Knowing that God is there for each one of us , that He knows us and loves us; we can place our trust in him. Like Janet Kataaha Museveni said in her book 'my life's journey, the same thing is happening in my area. "During my teenage years, there was a new movement within the Christian circles that called itself the 'Re-awakened' This group believed that a person could not profess to be a Christian unless they adhered to strict codes of conduct such as wearing long dresses for women, no jewellery and cutting their hair very short. To me, this group seemed to focus more on outward observances than on the condition of one's heart and they were very critical of other Christians who...

The storm looks too big but its empty

Life only changes when it challenges us. At one point , we have all ever fallen into dilemmas. But is it the problems that destroy us or we destroy ourselves? The problems we have today may not exist in ten years to come , but we will. Every problem has a limited life span. Problems do end, but the question is; how have they ended? Have they destroyed or strengthened us? We can choose what the problems will do to us. We can control our reaction to the problem even when we can't control the problem. When we control our reaction to the seemingly uncontrollable problems of life, then in fact we do control the problems' effect on us. There is not necessarily a solution for every problem; however, every problem can be managed positively. Whatever doesn't kill me really makes me stronger. Do you believe that everything happens for a reason that benefits us in some way? What if that difficult person came into your life to make you learn something; patience, how not to treat people...

"Your children get only one childhood"

A family is not destroyed by the loss of its parents, but by  lack of nurture of its children. Yes its true that, many times as parents, we must make tough choices concerning our children and we must always do what is best for them even if in the short term it might seem harsh or painful . However , we must struggle and think hard not to violet their rights while nurturing them. In the end, your children will thank you for setting boundaries in their lives that allowed them to grow into well-adjusted people. There is not necessary a solution for every problem that the children present to us; however , every problem can be managed positively. For esitance; as we grew, our mothers could pound tablets , mix it with water and give us drink whenever we were sick. Because the medicine was sour , we could usually vomit it. Some mothers would slap us for that, others could just ignore it. As children, was it our fault to vomit the medicine? Was it our parents' fault? A child vomits somethin...

We die more in imagination than in reality!

Yes, its true that we understand things not the way they are , but the way we are.  A certain kid saw an aeroplane passing through the sky. Because it was his first time, the kid was confused. He couldn't understand it. Finally he asked his father "Father what is that thing passing through the sky?". The father replied " Its an aeroplane ". Kid asked again " what is its importance? ".  The father replied " Its used to transport people or lagage among countries or continents". The kid rejected the father's answers. He couldn't believe the tiny thing he saw in the sky can carry even one person! One time , the kid and his father went to a beach that is just opposite an airport. The father used the chance to explain to the little boy the meaning of aeroplane using the physical stationary aeroplanes at the airport . This time the kid believed because the aeroplanes were too big not like the other tiny one he saw in the sky. The kid didn...
